FOCL ESSAY CONTEST DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MAY 6, 2026
We’re inviting high school students in grades 9–12 to participate in a new essay contest inspired by bestselling author TJ Klune—just ahead of his May 12 lecture at the Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater. Students are encouraged to reflect on a Klune book that left a lasting impression. This isn’t about summarizing the story—it’s about personal connection. How did the book shift your perspective? Spark growth? Inspire action?
Educators are also encouraged to bring this opportunity into the classroom or assign it as independent work—using Klune’s themes as a starting point for deeper discussion and reflection.
