Dear FOCL Supporters,

As you are aware, effective last Friday Governor Cuomo directed events with 500 or more people to be canceled or postponed, which includes our audiences for FOCL’s Rosamond Gifford Author Series. Yesterday we all learned that we are asked to limit our contacts and stay at home for the time being to help keep our community safe.

FOCL is working with our spring authors to reschedule new dates for Tayari Jones, Paula McLain and Marlon James. Details are expected soon, and the Oncenter Box office will honor your current tickets for the new, rescheduled dates to complete our 25th Season.

Like all businesses and non-profit organizations in our community, Friends of the Central Library is vulnerable to the economic impact of this pandemic. We value your continued support and appreciate your understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters together.

We will keep you informed as much as possible, and request that you please revisit our website daily (below) for updates. It’s unlikely we will have access to the FOCL office phone, so if you need to contact us please send email to focl@onlib.org to communicate as needed, and we will get back to you. Thank you for understanding. Stay well.

Sincerely,
Joan Brooks and Kim Schellinger
Friends of the Central Library, Inc.
