Did you know? Our spring author, Natasha Alford, grew up in Syracuse and is a graduate of Nottingham High School. After graduating from Nottingham, Natasha studied at Harvard, built a remarkable career in journalism, and is now an author, change maker, and inspiration to many.

Natasha’s story continues March 10 when she kicks off our Spring author talks at the Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater.

A FOCL supporter and marketing committee member, Brenna Richardson, has graciously volunteered to organize a fundraiser to send Syracuse City School District Nottingham High School students to attend the event! Brenna is also a Nottingham graduate.

For these students, this isn’t just another lecture. It’s a living example of what’s possible—of someone who once sat where they sit, dreamed big, and made it happen.

All funds donated will help FOCL and Brenna purchase tickets for Nottingham students to attend this special event, along with transportation to and from the venue. Our goal is to send 200 students!

Please consider contributing whatever you can—and help give these students a night they’ll never forget.

We’re halfway there!
