Friends of the Central Library welcomes Gail Collins to Syracuse on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 7:30pm.


Gail Collins joined the New York Times editorial board in 1995 and in 2001 became the first woman appointed editor of the Times’ editorial page. In 2007, she finished her book, “When Everything Changed: The Amazing Journey of American Women from 1960 to the Present”. Her most recent book “As Texas Goes: How the Lone Star State Hijacked the American Agenda” was published in 2012. Collins co-teaches an opinion writing course in Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She occasionally appears as a fill-in on PBS Newshour’s Political Wrap alongside her New York Times colleague David Brooks
